P.E.P.  2007 RUNS ON VISTA

 

The P.E.P. 2007 software runs on the new Microsoft VISTA ® operating system

 

Maintaining pace with today’s industry changes…

 

FREE UPGRADE TO VISTA.  We are pleased to announce that all customers that purchase the P.E.P. 2007 annual contract will receive a copy of P.E.P. compatible with the VISTA operating system as a FREE upgrade.  

 

All aspects of the P.E.P. 2007 Vista version are compatible with Vista: PEP databases, Nesting, Posting, working across the network, downloading updates from the PEP website, etc… 

 

VISTA modifications and testing to the 2007 software began in November and the software is now ready to be shipped to customers that purchase a computer with the Vista operating system.

 

Without going into great detail, we have been told that the Vista operating system is being shipped on nearly all computers.  Microsoft claims Vista provides tighter control of copying and downloading of files for security purposes.

 

If you are purchasing the Vista operating system for an existing computer, or buying a new computer we suggest calling our support department and requesting a 2007 V1.2 CD be shipped.

PEP 2007 works under Microsoft XP, as well as Vista.  We started development on 2007 back in August 2006, and it has been field tested since October 2006.  To show our love for our customers, we started shipping 2007 on Valentine’s day.

What’s New?

 

There are hundreds of great enhancements and new features such as the four below:

 

FASTER NESTING – a total rewrite of the P.E.P. Automatic nesting engine in the Delphi language slashed nesting time by more than 40%.   Nests that took five minutes now take three.

 

IMPROVED MATERIAL YIELD – the Automatic nesting logic has prioritizes parts differently in 2007 making a dramatic improvement in 30 percent of the nests we benchmark. 

 

SAW NESTING - is included as part of the “Free To Use” program.

Calculates the best way to cut your linear stock for least waste- multiple part lengths from different size stock- with the percentage of material yield  displayed – instantly!

 

“COLOR ME IMPRESSED” – You can use color in many new ways:

1.     In the CAD converter to help you tell part from drop.

2.     In the nested plate, you know which parts are which.
