This is a story about a job that we have run before this story and now after this story.
We laser cut on average 90 parts about every 6 months of this item. Generally it would take 33 hours for just cut time with an additional 6 hours in forming time to complete this job. Well I, along with two others, attended a training class in Chicago and learned about your "CPT" (Crash Protection Technology) in the software. After running the job through the "CPT" in P.E.P. 2000 we cut our laser time down to 21 hours by eliminating head raises and re-sequencing the cutouts in the part. The estimator for the job now smiles every time we get another order of these parts.
