The following are HIGHLIGHTS of the changes Hartness experience by switching from Tops to P.E.P.

1. Programming savings.  The programming department went from 4 programmers to 2 full time programmers.

2. Engineering savings.  The engineering department saved more than 780 hours per year. 

3. Machine Savings.  PEP increased their Laser efficiency by more than 19%!   Two lasers running 3 shifts a day, saving 2,371 machine hours in the first year. 

4. Saves Material The P.E.P. Automatic Nesting software improved their Material Yield by 4% over manually editing the Tops Automatic Nesting results..  Purchasing $1,615,000 in  material during 2004, P.E.P. saved $64,600.00 in 2004 material expenditures, 2005 savings will be greater.

5. On-Time Production improved by 18%.   P.E.P. is directly responsible for boosting on-time production by 18%, improving deliveries, reducing overtime and outsourcing costs in purchasing and QC.

6. Programming errors eliminated.  P.E.P. corrected errors in cutting the wrong material, saving an estimated $5,500.00.
