AUTO-FIXING OPTIONS
In addition to fixing drawing errors such as gaps and combining lines and arcs, the software checks the angles of consecutive lines, arc centers, diameters, line arc and arc arc blends, and other coordinates comparing them to the tolerances set in the parameter table. Several of these special parameters along with the benefits are discussed in this section.
Parameter #30 - Convert
shallow arcs to a single line
Geometry # 454 is an arc segment with a radius of 311.7874 and an arc height which is less than the .02 setting in the parameter table. When the parameter table is set to convert shallow arcs to lines and the arc is NOT tangent to either the preceding or following arc segments, the arc will be changed to a line and noted so in the report. This particular drawing had 4 arcs that were converted to lines.
Naturally, any geometry that is moved or changed will have the geometry number, the type of error and the action taken stated in the error report.
The geometry chart displayed on below the part shows the geometry data prior to converting the part. The circled items refer to the geometry type and the radius data for arc geometry 454.
