2. Configure the Tool List
Although the individual tool attributes such as safety zone & station can be set in the MTL, it is the user’s responsibility to verify that the attributes are set correctly for the job that the Tool List was created for. To edit the individual tool attributes the user highlights the tool as shown in Fig. #3 and then uses the EDIT TOOL pop-up screen to set or edit a field. Fields that are changed appear in red and will be saved to the current Tool List screen when accepting the changes made on the pop-up. In most cases, only the Tool Angle, Safety zone and Station fields need to be set. Entries made to the Tool List are NOT saved to the MTL intentionally, if the fields are to be set permanently, the user should set the fields in the MTL so that they are copied to the Tool Lists at the time of importing the tools.
