The IMPORT DATA FORMAT
The
Import data format is the same format used by the WIP database. Whether the export file is output in the same
format or not is inconsequential because the mapping software will cross
reference the data in the export file and save the information correctly into
the WIP database.

The WIP.MAP file
The
Wip.Map file is used to cross reference the MRP export format with the
work orders, drawings, quantities, etc. to the WIP import format used by the
WIP database.
MRP Export File Example
In this example we have Work order, quantity required,
Drawing, Due date & Material description
WO-001, 25pcs, A100,
WO-002, 10pcs, A200,
WO-002, 25pcs, A300,

The WIP.MAT file
The
Wip.Mat file is used to cross reference the material type for each
drawing in the export file to the P.E.P.
Material database.

Below is how the data is formatted for the WIP database. The work order and due date appear on the 1st
line with the drawing quantity and PEP material number on the next line below
the work order number.
