Here is what you need to know about the Mapping Software:

 

·                    DATABASE FORMATS

      No two MRP products use the same database format or material description to track jobs and that applies to the P.E.P. work order and material databases.  We corrected this problem by writing mapping software that cross references the MRP and P.E.P. software formats automatically.

 

·                    The P.EP. MAPPING SOFTWARE

The P.E.P. Mapping software will performs the task of cross referencing the Export file data into the P.E.P. Import format seamlessly and instantaneously as though the two unique products were using the exact same database formats.

·        eliminates writing a program to translate the Export Data file format into the WIP format.

·        eliminates writing a program to translate the MRP Material Description into the P.E.P. format.

 

·                    The MRP EXPORT DATA FILE 

      The MRP export data file contains the MRP work order data that is to be processed.  The format of the work orders, drawings, quantity required, material type, due date, etc. is not important, the mapping software will convert the data into the WIP import file format automatically using the cross reference below filled in by the user.

           

      The MRP export file must contain the following data for WIP to function properly:

·        Work Order, Drawing Name, Qty Required, Date Required and Material Description

·        WIP is capable of tracking other optional information depending upon the user’s needs

·        The export file must be a Coma or Coma-Quote,” “, Delimited file.  

·        The Export data file can have any first name with a file extension of “.txt” or “.csv”. 

·        The Export data file must be saved to the  C:\PEP\WIP\MRP2WIP\  directory.

·        The data in the file can contain multiple work orders and material types.
