Dimensioning can operate in both an automatic or manual mode. In the automatic mode, the user selects the types of dimensions to be displayed from a parameter table. Once the parameters are set, the software does the calculations to automatically dimension the part geometry. The Automatic Dimensioning can be combined with the CAD converter to automatically dimension your customer’s CAD files before they are converted into a PEP cutter path, dimension the converted PEP part and automatically print out both dimensioned drawings for your QC department!

highlights of the dimensioning module:

• Both drawings and nested plates can be dimensioned.
• The user can select to dimension either inside, outside, or inside and outside.
• The user can select the type of dimensioning to be displayed, such as overall length and width, line-line intersections, non-intersects of line-arc-line geometry, arc centers, hole centers, etc.
• The user can toggle the calculated dimensions to display either inch or metric.
• The user can add cutting instructions to the dimensioned parts.
• The part geometry, dimensions and instructions can be plotted along with a report.
• The user can select any point on the drawing to be used as the datum point for dimensions.
• The user can set the dimensioning type to display; decimal, feet and inches or fractions.
